Mid-1WEDNESDAY TRAMPS
Each Wednesday a Club day-tramp takes place. These tramps usually occur with-in a one hundred kilometre radius from Wanganui. These tramps vary in rating from week to week. This area includes the Egmont and Tongariro National Parks, the Ruahine and Tararua Forest Parks, Waitotara and the Whanganui River Road-Parapara area: One is spoilt for choice! (Check out pack requirements below)

THURSDAY TRAMPS (updated 8 Jan 2012)
This Club’s Thursday tramps take place fortnightly and are designed to cater for the more-mature member. These tramps are rated as ‘Easy to Moderate’. Most of the tramp locations are reasonably close to Wanganui.

NEW: From 1 January 2012:

 Beginning in January the Thursday trips will be led by Earl Turner and Barbara Gordon will be 'booking and bank clerk'.

You Will Need:
• Day-pack with plastic linerMid-2
• Rain Coat or suitable Parka
• Fleece jumper
• Lunch
• Any nibbles, scroggin etc you may require
• Water bottle – Full! & thermos if  a hot drink wanted
• Sunscreen and insect repellent come in handy
• Small personal first aid kit.
• Hat (to suit the season)
• Toilet paper Soap/Hand sanitizer
• Torch and fresh batteries (Just in case!)
• Change of clothing and shoes (to be left aboard the van)

• Wear boots, shorts, layered clothing, polypropylene, fleece or wool, a warm hat or sunhat
• Money to pay for transport
